Taylor’s of Keith is a family business run by Steven Taylor, with 25 years spent in flooring and furniture. Most of our customers are households in Keith, Buckie, Elgin, Huntly, Fochabers, Banff, Turriff, Dufftown and Cullen who want a room finished without managing three suppliers to get there. The rest are landlords, holiday-let owners and people moving into new builds who need an entire property furnished to a date.
The Keith showroom on Mid Street carries flooring, carpets, vinyl and LVT, along with beds, mattresses and mobility chairs. The Buckie showroom on East Church Street carries a vast range of sofas: recliners, corner groups and 3+2 sets, with a lot of stock available for immediate delivery, plus flooring. Between the two you can feel the difference between underlays with your hand, lie on the mattress before you buy it and sit in the chair that has to suit somebody’s hips and knees.
What we specialise in is the part most retailers hand off: measuring correctly, specifying the right product for the room, and installing it. Flooring is measured and fitted by us. Beds are built. Sofas are carried in and positioned. Curtains are hung. Packaging goes away with us. That is why customers who bought a carpet from us years ago ring us again for a mattress.
We also take on whole properties, new builds, holiday lets, Airbnbs and B&Bs as well as family homes, supplying furniture, beds, flooring, curtains and the finishing touches and installing all of it. Our seven-bedroom project in Drumnadrochit took a house from empty to fully furnished, with every room designed for a warm Highland feel.

Our aim is simple: you should be able to buy flooring or furniture once, from people you can walk in and speak to, and not think about it again for years.
Measured and specified properly
Nothing is quoted from a guess. We measure the rooms, look at sub-floors, heating, doors and access, then recommend what suits the property rather than what suits our stockroom.
Honest advice before the sale
If a cheaper carpet will do the job in a spare room, we will say so. If a mattress is wrong for the person who has to sleep on it, we will say that too. Advice you can act on is worth more than a quick sale.
Delivered and professionally installed
Flooring is fitted, beds are built, furniture is placed and curtains are hung, and the packaging leaves with us.

Carpets, vinyl and LVT, beds and mattresses, mobility chairs, sofas, curtains and accessories all come from us, so a whole-property job is one measure, one quote and one point of contact.
